Fairview Plaza

A Victorian and Craftsman cul-de-sac with a landscaped island, surveyed in 1885 as part of the Fairview Addition; a town historic district.

Herrmann Brothers surveyed the Fairview Addition in June 1885 for F. H. McCullagh. The end of what was then Pennsylvania Avenue was laid out as a plaza with a planted island, and it keeps that shape today.

About three quarters of its homes were built before 1900. A pedestrian path marked “Turnstile Walk” on the original map still runs from the east end of the cul-de-sac.
