W. E. “Bill” Mason Carousel

A historic carousel beside the Wildcat Railroad depot in Oak Meadow Park, built in 1915 and shown at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition.

The carousel is named for one of the founders of the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad nonprofit. It turned at the 1915 exposition in San Francisco and is one of three historic clockwise-turning English carousels in the United States.

Its building also holds a band organ that plays Wurlitzer 150 rolls, rebuilt in 2012. The carousel joined the railroad in 1991.
